Treetop adventure and family fun park at Lac des Vieilles-Forges
Ardennes Terre d’Aventures has been welcoming families, groups and schools since 2007 at Lac des Vieilles-Forges, in Les Mazures, in the heart of the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, in the French Ardennes. The two parks sit side by side in the forest on the lakeshore: you can enjoy both on the same day with the Pass-Partout combined ticket.
- Le Corsaire Volant : a treetop adventure course built around a life-size pirate galleon. 9 courses including the Tour Infernale climbing wall, 70 challenges from 1 to 15 m high and 9 zip lines. From age 6.
- Elfy Park : 5 hectares of play inspired by Ardennes legends, with a summer toboggan run, giant nets, zip lines, slides and Valdemar, Thomas Dambo’s giant troll. From age 2.
- Wisplash : the lake’s inflatable water park, perfect for cooling off in summer (wisplash.fr).
The lake is about 20 minutes from Charleville-Mézières and some 40 minutes from the Belgian border (Couvin, Chimay). It is one of the easiest family days out in north-east France, and from Wallonia. All about Lac des Vieilles-Forges.

A few hundred metres from our parks, the Wisplash inflatable water park lines up more than 35 floating modules: slides, floating climbing walls, obstacle courses. The perfect way to round off your day at Lac des Vieilles-Forges. Wisplash is run by a partner team, on its own website.

Where are the Ardennes Terre d’Aventures parks?
At Lac des Vieilles-Forges, 6 rue du Lac, 08500 Les Mazures (French Ardennes, Grand Est region), about 20 minutes north of Charleville-Mézières and 40 minutes from Belgium. Parking is free.
Which activity suits my children’s age?
Elfy Park is suitable from age 2 and appeals to children up to about 12, together with their parents. Le Corsaire Volant (treetop adventure) is open from age 6, with courses graded by age and difficulty up to experienced adults. With children of different ages, the Pass-Partout gives access to both parks on the same day.
When are the parks open?
The 2026 season runs from 5 April to 3 October: daily from 5 April to 17 May and in July and August, on Wednesdays and weekends from 18 May to 30 June (plus Whit Monday, 25 May), at weekends in September, and one bonus day on Saturday 3 October. How much is admission?
Elfy Park: €16 for ages 5 to 59 and €8 for ages 2 to 4 and 60+. Le Corsaire Volant: €18 for ages 6 to 13 and €25 from age 14. The Pass-Partout for both parks costs €27 (ages 6-13) or €32 (age 14 and over). Tickets can be bought online or on site.
What else is there to do at Lac des Vieilles-Forges?
A lifeguarded beach in summer, an 11 km trail around the lake, canoeing, paddleboarding, fishing, a campsite and Wisplash, the inflatable water park. Enough to fill a whole day, or even a weekend.
