Valdemar, Thomas Dambo’s giant troll
Elfy Park is home to Valdemar the Walker, the first giant troll installed in France by the Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Built from recycled wood, it is part of a series of around a hundred trolls around the world. Its message is simple: take care of nature and reuse what we throw away. Children love it, and so do their parents.

Elfy Park is about 20 minutes from Charleville-Mézières and 40 minutes from the Belgian border. Make a day of it by combining it with Le Corsaire Volant, the treetop adventure park next door, with the Pass-Partout ticket.

Yes. The park is designed for children from age 2. Admission is €8 for ages 2 to 4, and adults play along with their children.
How long does a visit to Elfy Park take?
Allow half a day. With the picnic area on site, many families stay all day.
Do I need to book?
No, booking is not required for individual visitors. Buying tickets online saves time at the entrance. Groups must book on weekdays.
Is Elfy Park the park in Isère?
No. Elfy Park Ardennes is at Lac des Vieilles-Forges, 08500 Les Mazures, in the French Ardennes. It has no connection with a park of the same name in another region.
